What Can I Do Lord? (Carol)

Hearing about the young man who took his own life in Abingdon yesterday, and the shooting in the Colorado school really upset me this morning. I find that when I think about people hurting themselves and each other people I can become paralyzed in grief, and I cry out to God, "what can I do?"

I picked up the book I'm reading,

Surrender by Father Larry Richards. I began to read these words:

What does holiness look like? It looks like a person who is filled with love for God and love for others. The way that we prove we are living lives of holiness is that we are doing acts of love. We need to be love in a world that doesn't know love!

Thank you Jesus for reminding me that You are always near and You hear my every prayer. Thank you for reminding me that there will always be trouble in the world and MY response to it needs to be love. Holy Moment love. Once small act at a time. God gave me this Holy Moment.
