Lunch with Miss Virginia (Donna)

I try to visit my friend Miss Virginia when I can.  She is 91 years young and in congestive heart failure.

Yesterday we enjoyed lunch together on her patio.  I always bring my lunch, my drink and then a dessert to share.  Yesterday I brought fruit cups.  I use to Love to bake and cook for her, but with Covid, I just don’t want to take the chance. During our visit, she had a few phone calls and two visitors stopped by.  While we were all talking, one of her friends looked over and said excitedly, “Look at the hummingbird!!!!”  Miss Virginia was just BEAMING!!!!️ Her friend didn’t know that Miss Virginia and I have changed the location of that hummingbird feeder three times to no avail. In the three or four years that I have been putting it up, I think she has only seen one hummingbird. I changed it to this location, right behind the picnic table, about 3 weeks ago. In fact, before the friends popped over, we had been discussing where to put the feeder.  After she saw the hummingbird, I teasingly asked if she wanted me to move it.  She said with a huge smile, “Leave it right where it is!”️
