A Prayer for Normal (Lisa)

I am praying for someone living through an upheaval, a difficult time, when we long for our old normal. May we find moments, remnants of it still, amidst, what can feel like, the chaos of now.

Dear Jesus,

I am praying

for normal today.

Boring headlines

not found on tv screens

but the ones in our own lives.

I pray for glorious routines

everyday miracles

overlooked

but this time looked at

not long enough to break it

not deep enough to make it

suddenly

not normal

but just

to live it out

with a smile that becomes a prayer in itself

a prayer of gratitude

an acknowledgement

of all the abundance of life

of all the living and sharing and loving and giving and working and playing and hurting and healing and

just being

because

God made it so.

We thank you God for it all.

May our life be a prayer of thanks today.
